Koala and cub spotted 

On the way to work this morning I saw my neighbour Chuck, stopped by the side of the road. So I pulled up to offer my help.

It turned out Chuck had just seen a koala with a young cub on its back crossing the road. Chuck had pulled over to watch as the koala finished crossing the road and climbed a nearby tree. He had called home to tell his family to come and look.

Chuck's wife Anne duly arrived with their two kids.

There are quite a few of koalas about the Glenaroua area, but we don't see them very often.

Koala spotting -- a rare treat to make the morning commute special.
