As the founder, inaugural president, and first honorary life member of the Melbourne PC User Group, the club honoured me by naming a room after me in 2004.
Initially, the Committee Room at the club's Chadstone Business Centre premises was named in my honour. Later, when the club relocated to Warrigal Road in Moorabbin, I had the privilege of having the main meeting room named after me.
Not too bad for a kid from Memorial Oval Primary School in Whyalla, country South Australia.
When I share this with people who are unfamiliar with my 36+ year background in IT, they typically look at me in disbelief.
